Whatever your reason for going plant-based, January is a great time to start when it comes to eating more plants. Here are our easy tips to help you adopt a plant-based diet. 

Get creative in the kitchen

When adopting a new diet, it can be easy to focus on the hard parts, like the things you need to give up. Instead, try focusing on all the new and exciting things you get to try. It’s a chance to get creative in the kitchen, with new ingredients, flavours and textures. Head over to Instagram, Pinterest or Youtube for inspiration and to discover vegan recipes for any occasion. From quick and easy lunch recipes, to time saving one-pot dinner recipes, to delicious desserts for when that sugar craving kicks in, it’s covered. Be prepared

Meal prep! If you prepare your food for the week ahead of time then you’ll be much less likely to give in to non-vegan options. Take some time on the weekend to batch cook vegan meals such as curries, stews, soups or pasta that you can freeze for later. Easy plant-based swaps

There are so many plant-based substitutes available to us nowadays, from vegan meats, to cheese, to milks – we are spoilt for choice. Keep an eye out for plant-based alternatives that are fortified with B12 and calcium. B12 is an essential nutrient that our bodies can’t make on our own so we need to get it from the foods we eat.
