A mesmerising Zibibbo, with aromatics of white flowers, citrus blossom and Mediterranean herbs, a stunning palate of figs, apricot, candied orange peel and a splash of saline
An enticing Sicilian red made with the local grape ‘Nerello Mascalese’. Pronounced aromas of ripe red fruits and violets and an elegant palate full of rustic earthy notes, rich fruit and dried spices that linger.
2 – Pinot Noir, Grande Arte, DFJ Vinhos, Lisboa (Sustainable) & Chardonnay Notre Sur, Viento Aliseo, La Mancha (Organic)
A fantastic Portuguese Pinot Noir, bright ruby red in colour with notes of fresh red fruits on the nose. The palate has a velvety texture with notes of blackberries, cedar and subtle toast notes from 9 months ageing in French oak barrels.
An organic Chardonnay from Dominio de Punctum, a light gold in colour. Tropical aromas of mango and pineapple fill the nose. The palate is soft with flavours of apple, peach and mango.
3 – Barolo, Tenuta Neirano, Piedmont, Italy 2018
A rich and powerful wine which is velvety on the palate with the distinct bouquet of roses, violets and tar. Before release Neirano Barolo spends three years in large oak ‘botti’ and a further period in bottle to allow the tannins to soften and the wine to develop.
